Dover responds to working fire at Target

On Sunday, July 10th the Dover Fire Department along with Truck Co. 54 and Engine Co. 41 were dispatched to a working Building Fire at Target, 148 John Hunn Brown Road. On arrival crews found smoke showing from the front of the building and a Second Alarm was struck. Crews stretched hose lines into the building to extinguish the fire, while other firefighters searched the building to ensure everyone was out. Firefighters from Dover, Little Creek, Camden, Dover AFB, Cheswold, Leipsic, Hartly and South Bowers responded to the scene as well as St. Francis and Kent County EMS. Smyrna, Bowers and Hartly Fire Companies covered the City while crews operated on the fire ground. Crews were on scene for approximately three and a half hours.
